I’m Firas Kafri.

I co-founded Salalem, a compliance-driven talent development platform that helps regulated organizations assign required learning by role and maintain audit-ready evidence. I work across its product, technology, and operations.

Most of my work sits where software, organizations, and AI meet.

I’m particularly interested in what happens after the demo: how a system is operated, constrained, explained, and improved.

Outside Salalem, I build products, tools, and frameworks. Flocki handles attendance and leave management. Progressive Clarity explores how AI responses should be structured. FinSpec makes financial-market relationships interactive. HELM is an operating model for teams building with AI agents.

Earlier work

  • JoGeeks: Co-founder and CTO, 2011–2016.
  • Google Developers Group Amman: Founder and leader, 2012–2016.
  • UpSpark: Co-founder and managing director, 2015–2016.

Selected publication

In 2017, I co-authored Crawl, Walk, Run, and Only Then Compete with Marwan Soudi. The report presents a framework for building innovative entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging economies.

The thread across this work is products, communities, and how people organize to build.

This site is where I keep that work and write down what I learn.
